Lisa Gray Retirement
Lisa Gray, our tireless Executive Director, has let me know that she plans to retire in March. I know that I speak for the entire Gifts of Love community when I say that she will be sorely missed. Over her tenure, she refocused GOL on its core mission of helping families in the Greater Hartford area overcome financial crises and return to self-sufficiency. This includes:
- Increasing clients served in the Hartford and Avon locations by 70% to over 400 per visits per month
- Enhancing program strength by increasing the amount of food distribution to 155 TONS per year
- Strengthening our community’s culture of philanthropy – ensuring that GOL remains a sustainable resource for those in need into the future
Replacing such a critical leadership position is a top priority for the Board. With Lisa’s assistance, we will be launching a search for a new Executive Director. Both Lisa and I are committed to a smooth transition and ensuring that we do not lose any of the momentum that has been built in recent years.
Thank you for your continued support.
Best regards,
Robert Wong, Chair, Gifts of Love Board
